President and prime minister’s respect to Bangabandhu

President Md. Abdul Hamid and prime minister Sheikh Hasina have paid their respect to Banghabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his 96th birthday. They paid their respect by flowers on Mujibur Rahman’s tomb at Tungipara.

Earlier, president and prime minister landed on Tungipara helipad at 9:40 this morning. They started at 9:00 am.

The president and prime minister paid their respect to Sheikh Mujib’s tomb at 10:21 am. They recited Surah Al Fatiha and took part in Munazat afterwards. A group of the three forces presented guard of honor.

On the other hand, Tungipara Awami League has arranged various programs to observe Mujib’s 96th birthday and children’s day. These programs include ‘Shishu shomabesh o alochona shova’ at Bangabandhu’s tomb complex. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will deliver a speech as the chief guest. Then she will enjoy cultural program. She will inaugurate book fair and give away sewing machines afterwards.

She will start for Dhaka at 3 in the afternoon.
