The body of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq has been flown to Dhaka airport around 1pm on Saturday (today).

The body will be taken to the Bangladesh Army Stadium in the capital where people from all walks of life will pay their last tribute to Annisul Huq, sources confirmed.

The namaz-e-janaza of Mayor Annisul Huq will be held at Army Stadium in the capital after Asr prayers the same day.

According to a press statement issued by the DNCC, he will be laid to rest at Banani Graveyard after the janaza.

Annisul Huq, who was undergoing treatment at a London hospital, has passed away on Thursday. He was 65.

Huq’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at Regent Park Central mosque in London after Juma prayers on Friday.
