Police again halt BNP relief convoy

The BNP failed to distribute relief materials among Rohingya refugees for the second day on Thursday due to obstruction by the law enforcement agencies.

Cox's Bazar district BNP President and former MP Shahjahan Chowdhury told media that the relief materials have been kept in the district BNP office at the direction by the central leaders.

Measures will be taken on receiving  central direction, he added.

Earlier on Wednesday, the BNP claimed that police have deterred the party's 22 relief-carrying trucks at Ukhia upazila of Cox's Bazar while heading towards Rohingya refugee camps for distribution.
