Bangladesh has been prevailed over a massive a 45-run defeat in the 2016 Asia Cup opening match at Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. 

A terrific innings by Rohit Sharma drove India to a massive score of 166 in 20 overs. He scored a mammoth 83 runs off 55 balls which led team India set such a giant target for the hosts. 

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first. Bangladesh had a promising start causing the fall of 2 early wickets for India in the first 5 overs. But soon India took control of the match with the lead of Rohit Sharma. The only success from Bangladesh in the first innings was Al-Amin Hossain who took 3 wickets giving 37 runs. 

Things looked pretty worse for Bangladesh since the beginning of the second innnings as they lost 2 earl wickets for just 11 runs. From the batting side only Sabbir Rahman was able to up a decent score of 44 with some classic shots. Sadly, no one was there to stood beside him and build a partnership. The Indian bowling attack lead by Ashish Nehra made the most of the green track, extracting bounce and movement on a breezy night in Mirpur.

Eventually the Indian bowlers had the best of Bangladeshi batsmen making them crumble inder pressure which concluded the Bangladesh innings at 121 for 7 wickets in 20 overs.
