New BB governor Fazle Kabir
Sonali Bank chairman Fazle Kabir has been appointed as the governor of Bangladesh Bank after resignation of Atiur Rahman. He will take over his duities after returning from abroad.
On the incidence of Bangladesh Bank heist Atiur Rahman being under pressure visited Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina and submitted resignation. Sonali Bank chairman Fazle Kabir has been appointed as the new governor. While he is abroad, deputy governor Abul Kashem will be the acting governor.
