Star Cineplex Dhanmondi branch to be opened on Jan 27

Star Cineplex Bangladesh is set to open a multiplex at Shimanto Shombhar in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Sunday next.

The multiplex has been constructed at the level 9 of the shopping complex located near Pilkhana at Dhanmondi 2.

Also, the construction works of three more multiplexes are undergoing in the city’s Mohakhali, Uttara and Purbachal areas.

In October last year, Star Cineplex Chairman Mahbubur Rahman disclosed the opening of four more multiplexes at different parts of the city.

He said they also have plan to build two more multiplexes in Chittagong and Cox’s Bazaar.

Mahbub said their cine company will also be making films.

“We’ve begun work on producing films on the Liberation War, women empowerment and narcotics,” he added.
