Stocks witness downturn

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed downward trend on the 2nd trading day of the week on Monday.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 5,733 points decreasing 29 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached 1,311 points declining 8 points.

The DS30 index decreasing 11 points to stand at 2,003 points.

On the premier bourse, turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 719.13 crore.

Of the issues traded today, 155 advanced, 151 declined and 39 remained unchanged.

Selective Category Index - CSCX of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) declined 23 points to stand at 17,572 points.
