Radio Capital 94.8 FM steps into 6th year

Radio Capital 94.8 FM, a concern of East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL), has stepped into the sixth year.

The management of the radio station started celebrating the fifth founding anniversary through various programmes maintaining health regulations on Sunday (Jan 2).

Being one of the media entities of the East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL) of Bashundhara Group, radio began its commercial operations on January 2, 2017.

As part of celebrating the fourth anniversary, a cake was cut at the radio station complex at EWMGL premises at Bashundhara Residential Area in Baridhara of the capital in the morning.

Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam, East West Media Group Ltd Director Imdadul Haq Milan, Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar and News24 Head of News Rahul Raha led the cake-cutting ceremony.

Expressing his good wish for the success of the Radio Capital, Naem Nizam said, "Technology is advancing and changing. The government is now thinking to connect Bangabandhu Satellite-1 with radio. We must cope up with the technological changes to prove ourselves by creating our own place." 

Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury said FM bands of radio have become very popular. People listen to the radio sitting in the car also as they like it. They can now listen to the words of distinguish people on different topics." 

Imdadul Haq Milan, also novelist, dramatist, columnist and a television personality, extended greetings to all members of the Radio Capital on its founding anniversary.

He said: " The feature of the radio has changed day by day. In modern times, radio has extended the periphery worldwide. Radio Capital has become a partner in that expansion."

Congratulating the staff, listeners and well-wishers of Radio Capital, Banglanews Editor Jewel Mazhar said: "The role of radio in our lives has changed a little. In the past, radio was the only means of entertainment in family life. There was no television then. Radio was the only tool of entertainment and news. People used to write letters to the radio requesting for their favourite songs."

Member of Radio Capital 94.8 FM were also present on the occasion.
