The much-talked about film actress Pori Moni will contest the upcoming elections to Bangladesh Film Artistes Association. She will contest for the post of executive member from Ilias Kanchan-Nipun panel.

According to the source, a nomination paper was collected on Monday on behalf of Pori Moni. She also signed the form on Tuesday night.

The elections will be held on January 28. Shakil Khan, Riaz, Ferdous, Symon Sadik, Emon, Nirab and other actors will also contest the election from Ilias Kanchan-Nipun panel.Pori Moni is known for helping many artistes in the film industry during their crisis. She has also been seen celebrating Eid and Puja festivals with the needy artistes. Earlier on Monday, Pori Moni surprised her fans by announcing her wedding with actor Sariful Razz. She also informed they are expecting their first child.
