It is the most elusive question for every man in this world - What pleases a woman? He is often left wondering where he is going wrong. Yes, women can confuse you but there is something that can woo them right away.

Men who are in the dating game often ask psychologists and love gurus what they can do to appear more desirable to the women around them. Is it grooming, chivalry, sweet talks or the right touch of humour? The British Psychological Society has the answer. All you should be able to do is to tell a good story. Women love men with good story telling abilities. They are seen as more attractive and higher status, says an article published in the Personal Relationships journal.

As part of the experiment, John Donahue and Melanie Green asked 388 undergraduates in the USA to rate the attractiveness of a potential partner based on their photography and a short biography. Men picked storytellers over non-storytellers. Those with fluid stories and lively vocabulary were rated the highest. However, the same was not true for women.

Psychiatrist Sandeep Vohra explains, "Communication is key in any relationship and women like to display their emotions through chats. And if they find a man who lays emphasis on doing the talk, that makes him more desirable. They allow them to connect more deeply." It makes sense that men who have a good story telling ability are seen as long term partners.

However, the researchers did mention that it is not only plain story telling ability that will woo every woman. Sometimes it is the sheer enjoyment aspect of the story telling that makes him more attractiveness.
