On the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 97^th birthday, prime minister and Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina paid respect to his portrait with flowers. This day is observed as national children’s day.

Prime minister paid respect at Bangabandhu’s portrait infront of Bangabandhu Bhaban in Dhanmondi 32, at 7:00 this morning. She lays flowers first as the prime minister and with the top leaders of Awami League as the president of the party.

Then she visited ‘Bangabandhu Smrity Jadughar’ and stayed there for a while.

Awami League’s general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam, advisory council member Amir Hossain Amu, Tofayel Ahmed, Members of presidium Obaiedul Kader, Matia Choudhury, Dipu Moni, Jahangir Kabri Nanok and other leaders of Awami League and the allied parties.
