Rearranged office timing for Ramadan from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
PM Sheikh Hasina presided over the cabinet meeting on Monday.

The government has set revised office hours for the upcoming Ramadan from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 15-minute prayer break from 1:15pm to 1:30 pm for all the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions.

The Cabinet at its regular weekly meeting, held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Monday, set the new office timing.

Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam briefed reporters about the new office timing after the meeting.

The holy month Ramadan is supposed to start from June 7 depending on the sighting of the moon.

The Supreme Court, banks, other financial institutions and service providing agencies including hospitals and railways, will, however, set their own office hours, added the cabinet secretary.
