Remain alert to ensure the safety of public life and property: IGP to police

In a bid to improve the overall security system of the country, Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque on Monday ordered his fellows to remain alert and active to ensure the safety of public life and property, and maintain the law and order across the country.
He came up with this direction while addressing the quarterly crime review conference at the Police Headquarters.
He also asked the Superintendents of Police (SPs) to visit the murder spot whenever any such an incident takes place bring the offenders to book.
Chaired by the IGP, the conference was attended by commissioners of all metropolitan polices, Range DIGs, chiefs of different police units based in Dhaka and senior officials of the Police headquarters.
