Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah is due to arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. A special VVIP flight carrying the Kuwait Prime Minister and members of his entourage is scheduled to land at Hazarat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:45pm on Tuesday.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will receive the Kuwait Prime Minister at the airport, informed a foreign ministry spokesperson on Monday.Later, the visiting Kuwait Prime Minister will be given a guard of honour at the airport.  

During his three-day visit, the Jaber will pay a courtesy call on President Md. Abdul Hamid and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  

Different bilateral issues including enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, manpower and defense sectors between the two countries would be the main focus in the talks. Besides, three agreements relating to increasing Kuwait investment in Bangladesh, military cooperation and easing visa procedures for diplomatic and official passport holders are expected to be signed after the talks.During his stay in Dhaka, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will lay floral wreaths at National Mausoleum in Savar and at the Portrait of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Bhaban in the city's Dhanmondi area to pay homage to the martyrs of country's War of Liberation and the country's founding father. He will also witness the parliament session and will join a banquet to be hosted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday at Hotel Sonargaon. Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Rowshan Ershad will call on the Kuwait Prime Minister on Thursday at his hotel suit.The high profile entourage of Kuwait Prime Minister will include First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Finance and Acting Minister of Oil Anas Khaled Al-Sabah, Education Minister Dr. Bader Hamad Al Eissa and Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Khaled Sueliman Al-Jarallah.The Kuwaiti Prime Minister will leave Dhaka on Thursday afternoon.

In February 2010, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Kuwait when four agreements on cultural promotion, joint commission, economic and technical cooperation, and tourism promotion were signed between Bangladesh and Kuwait.
