Hangman Tanvir Hasan Raju

The death penalty of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami is likely to be executed tonight. For this reason hangman Tanvir Hasan Raju has been taken to Dhaka Central Jail from Kashimpur high security cell on Tuesday afternoon.

 

The gallows are already set and an awning was also set up over the gallows. 

 

Three other hangmen would work as associates of Raju. The jail authorities have already prepared a list of seven hangmen including Hazrat, Iqbal, Masud, Mokter, Roni, Sattar and Abul.

 

Three to four people of the list would take part in the execution, jail sources said.
