Preparation completed, Nizami to be hanged tonight

Preparation completed, Nizami to be hanged tonight

Home Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Tuesday night has said that the execution of death penalty of war criminal Motiur Rahman Nizami will be taken place tonight.

 

The jail authority has already took all the preparation necessary for the execution.

 

The gallows are already set and an awning was also set up over the gallows. 

 

Hangman Tanvir Hasan Raju has been taken to Dhaka Central Jail from Kashimpur high security cell.

 

Three other hangmen would work as associates of Raju. The jail authorities have already prepared a list of seven hangmen including Hazrat, Iqbal, Masud, Mokter, Roni, Sattar and Abul.

 

Three to four people of the list would take part in the execution, jail sources said.
