Law enforcers recovered three bodies in Dumki, Kalapara and Mirzaganj upazilas of Patuakhali districts on Friday. In Dumki, the body of a hotel businessman was recovered from Kadamtali Khalpar area in the morning, two days after he went missing. The deceased was identified as Khalil Mridha, 35. Dibakar, officer-in-charge of Dhumki Police Station, said Khalil went missing on Wednesday night. Locals spotted his body in the area on Friday morning and informed police. Later, they recovered the body. The body of an unidentified woman was recovered in Kalapara upazila while that of a girl in Mirzaganj upazila in the morning. The bodies were sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Police, however, could not identified the reasons or motives behind these unnatural deaths.
