PM expresses satisfaction over Law and order situation in the country
Prime Minister and Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina today said the law and order in the country is normal as her government has taken various steps to this end. Quoting the PM news agency BSS said "The law and order remains normal and the people are getting justice .... as a result local and foreign nationals are leading a peaceful life and doing business smoothly". The Prime Minister was responding to a tabled question from MA Awal (Laxmipur 1) during her question hour in the House. She said controlling terrorism and militancy in the country has been possible as the law enforcement agencies remain vigilant. As a result, she said, the foreign investment is increasing, the country is marching forward and the base of country's economy is getting stronger. Sheikh Hasina said that the government is determined to establish the rule of law and uphold the basic and human rights of the people by protecting their life and property as well as resisting all sorts of anarchy including militancy and terrorism, reports BSS. The Prime Minister said that the law enforcement agencies have been directed to bring the culprits involved in any sort of militancy, subversive activities and violence to book alongside the order-givers. "The police and other law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly through coordination to this end," she said. The Leader of the House also spelled out different steps that Bangladesh Police took to keep law and order normal and protect the life and property of the people.
