JS budget session to continue till July 28

The 11th session of the 10th Parliament that began today would continue till July 28. The session, however, will remain adjourned from July 1 to July 16 for holy Eid-ul-Fitr. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Deputy Speaker Md Fazley Rabbi Mian in the chair, reports BSS. Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also a member of the committee, attended the meeting. As per the decision, the sitting of the 11th JS session would resume at 10 am everyday during the Ramadan, but the Speaker can change the time if needed. However, tomorrow's sitting will commence at 3.30 pm and the discussion on the next fiscal's budget will be held for 45 hours. Committee members Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Raushan Ershad, Hussain Muhammad Ershad, Amir Hossain Amu, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Suranjit Sengupta, Abul Hasnat Abdullah, ASM Feroz, Moinuddin Khan Badal and Anisul Haque attended the meeting. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith joined the meeting on special invitation. Senior Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Dr Md Abdur Rab Hawlader and senior officials of the secretariat were present on the occasion.
