Bus-truck head-on collision kills 4 in Sirajganj

Four people were killed and 23 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Konabari at the west side of Bangabandhu Bridge in Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj district on Tuesday afternoon.

 

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.

 

Quoting officer-in-charge of Bagngabandhu Bridge West Police Station Rakibul Islam UNB said the accident took place when the Rajshahi-bound bus of ‘Desh Travels’ collided head-on with a truck around 5:45pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and injured 24 others.

 

In the injured were whisked off to Sirajganj General Hospital where another succumbed to injuries, the OC added.
