Public servants to get Eid bonus in new pay scale

The public servants will get their bonus on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, largest religious festival of the Muslim, according to the newly-announced ‘National Pay Scale-2015’
A circular was issued by Finance Division in this regard on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, government has allocated an additional Tk 2,300 crore-budget for payment of the Eid-ul-Fitr bonus in the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2016-17, rising the budget to Tk 68,000 crore from that of Tk 44,000 crore, according to a Finance Ministry.
Earlier, the public servants enjoyed a 20 percent bonus of their basic salary on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh (first day of Bangla New Year) this fiscal year in last April.
