Twenty hostages, most of them foreigners, were killed in the attack at Holey Artisan Bakery in city’s Gulshan area on Friday evening.

Nine Italians named by the Italian foreign ministry as: Nadia Beenidetti was the managing director of Studio Tex Ltd at Baridhara, Vincenzo D'Allestro was the managing director of a buying house at Gulshan, Claudia Maria D'Antona, Simona Monti, Maria Riboli, Adele Puglisi, Claudio Cappelli, Christian Rossi and Marco Tondat.
Three Bangladeshi diners, whose families have confirmed their deaths, are Faraaz Hossain, a student at Emory University in the US, Abinta Kabir, US citizen Abinta Kabir, also a student at Emory University and Ishrat Akhond.
Seven Japanese. Five men and two women, four of whose names have been released by Japanese officials: Koyo Ogasawara, Makoto Okamura, Yuko Sakai and Rui Shimodaira
One Indian Tarushi Jain, 18, who was a student at the University of California, Berkeley.
Bangladeshi commandos rescued 13 people after a 12-hour siege, killing six gunmen and arresting another.
Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) on Saturday confirmed that they recovered 20dead bodies. Among them, most of are foreigners.
