Kader remanded in MP Liton murder case

Kader remanded in MP Liton murder caseJatiya Party central vice chairman and former MP Abdul Kader Khan has been placed on a 10-day remand in Gaibandha Awami League MP Liton murder case.

Gaibandha's additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mainul Hasan Yusub passed the order on Wednesday.

State counsel Shafiqur Rahman told media that the court granted 10 days' remand  for Kader sought by police to interrogate him.

Earlier in the day, police's Rangpur Range chief Khandaker Golam Faruq in a press conference said it was the former MP from the same constituency, who had masterminded the killing.

Police arrested Khan from his residence in Bogra district town at about 5pm on Tuesday a day after the IGP announced the killers of Liton had been identified and be arrested soon.
