Popular Bangla daily Kaler Kantho has started celebrating its ninth founding anniversary.

The daily will step into the tenth year Thursday (Jan 10).

The celebration program has been launched through cutting a cake at its office in Dhaka’s Bashundhara Residential Area Wednesday (Jan 9) evening.

Bashundhara Group and East West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL) Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir and his wife Sabrina Sobhan opened the celebration programs.

Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon, Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam, Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, Kaler Kantho Executive Editor Mostofa Kamal, News 24 TV Executive Director Hasnain Khurshed, EWMGL Publisher Maynal Hossain Chowdhury, journalists and other officials attended the opening.

On occasion of stepping into the tenth year, a daylong get-together will be held for the daily’s readers, patrons and well-wishers at the EWMGL ground Thursday (Jan 10).

30 persons will be awarded reception by the Kaler Kantho, in the afternoon.

However, Kaler Kantho began the journey in 2010 as an entity of EWMGL.
