Shirin Sharmin becomes Speaker again

Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has been re-elected as the Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad for the third term.

Chaudhury, a lawmaker from Rangpur-6 constituency, was made Speaker at the beginning of the first session of the 11th parliament on Wednesday evening.

She was the Speaker of the ninth parliament after speaker Abdul Hamid became president following the demise of President Zillur Rahman.  She re-elected again in the 10th parliament.
