Ekushey Padak winner poet Rabiul Hussain passes away

Ekushey Padak award winner poet and architect Rabiul Hussain has passed away at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University (BSMMU) on early Tuesday at the age of 76.

He breathed his last around 8:30 am on Tuesday.

He was receiving medical care for the last two weeks before being transferred to the ICU on Monday after his condition deteriorated, sources said.

He was suffering from a blood-related ailment in Dhaka.

The poet was born on January 31, 1943 at Rotidanga village of Shailkupa in Jhenaidah.
