Light to moderate rain likely across Bangladesh
The country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.5°C at Sayedpur and the lowest one on Thursday was recorded 23.4°C at Teknaf
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions, at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions,” said a met office release on Thursday.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
A low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal - Bangladesh.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajastan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, centre of the well-marked low to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am on Thursday was recorded 143mm at Teknaf.
The sun sets at 6.28pm Thursday and rises at 5.37am Friday in the capital.
