Bangladesh to get Covid-19 vaccines within Jan 21-25: DGHS DG

Director General (DG) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam said the coronavirus vaccine will arrive in the country within January 21 to 25.

Khurshid Alam came up with this information at a briefing in the capital on Monday.

“Beximco Pharma told us that the vaccine will arrive in Bangladesh between Jan 21-25. It will be stored in Beximco’s warehouse,” he said.

Around 50 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines will arrive in the first lot, the DGHS DG added.

Khurshid Alam also said that decision has been taken to vaccinate second dose of Covid-19 vaccine after eight weeks instead of four weeks.
