The authorities have completed all preparations for the people to pay tributes to Language Movement martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka.

Central Shaheed Minar has been prepared in a special manner as usual. The observance of the Language Movement Day and International Mother Language Day will start with placing flowers at the Shaheed Minar at the first hour of Sunday.

All have been urged to place flowers at the Shaheed Minar following health guidelines.

Sufficient security measures have been taken to ensure peaceful celebration. Law-enforcing agencies have installed CCTV cameras on the streets around the Shaheed Minar.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged teachers, students and others to observe the day properly.
