Covid-19: Bangladesh records single-day highest death again

Bangladesh reported 164 more deaths of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, which is the single-day highest death from the deadly virus, raising the toll to 15,229 across the country so far.

Besides, 9,964 new cases were reported during the same period, raising the total number of cases to 9, 54,881.

A press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the development on Monday (July 5). Earlier on Sunday (July 4), the country reported 153 more deaths of coronavirus.

Besides, a total of 5,185 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 8,39,082, the release said.
