7 killed, 7 injured in clash in Ukhia’s Rohingya camp

Seven people were killed and seven others injured in a clash and shootings between two groups at a Rohingya camp in Ukhia of Cox's Bazar on Friday morning.

Four of deceased were identified as -- Mohammad Idris (32) of Balukhali Camp-2, Ibrahim Hossain (22) of Balukhali Camp-1, Azizul Haque (26) of Camp-18 and Md Amin (32).

Meanwhila, members of the 8th Armed Police Battalion (APBn) arrested a man named Mujib with weapons after the incident in this connection.The injured were taken to MSF Hospital, he said.

Shihab Kaiser Khan, commander of the 8th APBn, said the cause of the clash was not clear but efforts are underway to find out the details about the incident.
