Covid-19: Nine more deaths reported in last 24 hrs

Bangladesh logged nine more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours till 8am Saturday.

Besides, 278 more people tested positive for the virus during the same period.

With the latest additions, the death toll reached 27,814 and the case tally climbed to 15,67,417 in the country.The current positivity rate stands at 1.85% as the health officials tested 15,042 samples across the country.

Of the latest deaths, six were men and 3 were women.

However, the mortality rate remained static at 1.77 per cent compared to the same period.

Also, the recovery rate remained unchanged at 97.67 per cent, with 294 more patients getting cured.

Bangladesh reported four deahts and 232 cases on Friday.
