Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2022 has been postponed for two weeks due to the current situation triggered by coronavirus (Covid-19).

The decision to organize the fair will be taken later considering the Covid-19 situation.

KM Khalid, State Minister for Cultural Affairs, confirmed the matter to risingbd on Sunday (January 16) noon.

“All kinds of preparations were made to organize this traditional book fair from February 1. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the organizing body, Bangla Academy, were also prepared. However, the final decision about organizing the fair has yet to be confirmed following the current Covid-19 situation. We are reviewing the situation, discussing it with different Covid-19 management committees. The decision will be taken later,” said the state minister.
