US to donate another one crore Pfizer vaccine

The United States has expressed its eagerness to donate another one crore Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to Bangladesh to help the country prevent the spread of the virus.

With this, the total number of US-donated vaccines will stand at 3.80 crore.

The United States Embassy in Dhaka revealed the information on Monday (January 31).

According to the embassy, the vaccines set to be donated newly are for Bangladeshi students as well as for those who still have not received their first jab of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Besides, the vaccine will also help vulnerable people receive their booster doses to protect themselves from the rapid spread of the new variant, Omicron.
