Baitul Mukarram Khatib Maulana Salahuddin passes away
Prof Maulana Muhammad Salahuddin, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque died at a city hospital on Thursday afternoon.
Religious affairs ministry's public relations officer Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday (Feb 3) expressed profound shock at his death. In their messages of condolence, they prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Maulana Muhammad Salahuddin had been suffering from different physical complications for a long time.
