A 10-person rescue team, consisting of 5 members each from the Bangladesh army and fire service, is traveling to Turkey tomorrow, Wednesday, to assist in rescue efforts. The team will initially be transported by a Bangladesh Air Force C-130 aircraft. The team is currently finalizing the equipment and medical supplies that will be brought.

The mission of the Bangladesh rescue team is to provide aid and support in the ongoing rescue efforts in Turkey. With a combination of personnel from the army and fire service, the team is well-equipped to handle various rescue scenarios. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen sent a message to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad on Monday. The foreign minister wrote almost identical messages, Bangladesh is praying for the fraternal people of Turkey and Syria and the families of the victims in this sad moment.

The foreign minister expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured. In the message, the minister also emphasized that Bangladesh and Turkey stand together with the affected people in this time of need.

In response to this crisis, Bangladesh has also pledged to provide any assistance it can. Related sources said that Bangladesh had offered to send a humanitarian aid team. Turkey gladly welcomed it.
