Mild cold wave in 13 districts, may continue for 2-3 days

A mild cold wave is sweeping over eight districts of Rangpur division and Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Chuadanga and Kushtia districts.
According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature 8.9 degrees Celsius was recorded in the northern district of Naogaon on Saturday morning.
Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said the mild cold wave will continue next two or three more days.
The BMD predicted that drizzle or light rain across the country on January 17 or 18.
Temperature between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius is considered a mild cold wave, 6 to 8 degrees Celsius a moderate cold wave, and less than 6 degrees Celsius a severe cold wave.
Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country between midnight and morning, and it may continue till noon at several places.
