In response of growing allegation by the ruling party, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said his party has no link with Israel.

Mirza Fakhrul came up with this statement at a press conference at the BNP head office in Dhaka, following allegations from the government ministers and ruling party leaders that BNP has been hatching conspiracy with the help of Israeli intelligence Mossad to overpower the government.

Fakhrul claimed, “BNP has no link with Israel. BNP is with Palestinian and will be with them in the future.”

“BNP is a liberal political party. The party believes that change in power is possible through elections,” he added.

Speculation is rife in the local media and political parties that BNP joint general secretary Aslam Chowdhury held a meeting with Mossad in his last India visit.

Earlier on Tuesday, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam told journalists that BNP has been trying to cling to state power through using Mossad.
