Detained BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury has confessed of his meeting with Israeli spy agency Mossad.

Aslam has also admitted that he met Israeli political figure, Mendi N Safadi to plot against the government.

The BNP’s joint secretary general, also divulged the names of the “masterminds” who sent him up to meet the Israeli politician, Monirul Islam, deputy inspector general (DIG) of police, said in a press briefing.

Aslam was arrested back in May 15 from Dhaka city’s Khilkhet area on alleged charges of sedition.

He was also shown arresred in two arson cases filed during BNP’s anti-government agitation last year.

Aslam came under the limelight after several photographs went viral in social media showing him with Israeli politician Mendi N Safadi, who is a former advisor to to Israeli deputy minister MK Ayoub Karar.
