The new president of Bangladesh is Shahbuddin Chuppu, a former freedom fighter and the first-line leader of the ruling Awami League
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominated Shahbuddin as the President of Bangladesh. General election in Bangladesh at the end of this year. In that respect, the presidency has added an extra dimension.
Shahbuddin Chuppu is the new president of Bangladesh. Who is known as 'Chuppubhai' in the political circles. On Sunday morning, the Bangladesh government announced the name of Shahbuddin as the new president. Shahbuddin is the 22nd President of Bangladesh.
Former freedom fighter and veteran politician Shahbuddin currently holds an important position in Bangladesh's ruling party Awami League. He is also a former judge. At one time he served as the Acting Chairman of ACC. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominated Shahbuddin as the new president of Bangladesh.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader submitted Shahbuddin's name to the Election Commission as a party candidate on Sunday. Veteran politician Shahbuddin is known as the 'trustee' of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Hasina nominated him as the chairman of Awami League's publicity and publication sub-committee last year.
