Mashrafe sets new record with his maiden ton
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on Saturday has set up a new record by clinching the fastest century ever in List A cricket of Bangladesh during Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. The record-breaking 50-ball century by Mashrafe helped Kalabagan Krira Chakra set 317-run target for Sheikh Jamal.
Devastating Mashrafe also hit 11 six which is also a record of hitting most number of sixes in a List A match of Bangladesh.
Mashrafe ended his innings in 104 in just 51 balls and his team managed to score 316 in 50 overs. On the way the right-handed batsman also secured his maiden hundred in List A cricket.
Mashrafe picked his first fifty from 35 balls, but the second one took just 15 balls to reach the milestone.
He also reached the land mark in style hitting for sixes in a row while Sheikh Jamal’s left arm spinner Wahidul Alam was the victim of the sudden hurricane.
In 46th over, Mash hit 3 sixes, and in the 48th over stroke another four sixes.
