Smashing 122 runs against England in Pune while chasing record 350 runs, Indian cricket captain of all formats Virat Kohli went on to become 10th highest century maker in the international cricket. It was his 27thcentury in one day international while the Delhi dasher has 15 centuries against his name in Test matches. Now, Kohli stands at joint 10th position with former Srilankan skipper Sanath Jaysurya with 42 international centuries. The list is currently headed by Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar with 100 centuries. Sachin scored 51 test and 49 ODI centuries. He is followed by Australian Ricky Ponting with 71 international centuries. The list figures only two players, AB de Villiers and Hasim Amla, both from South Africa, who still plays international cricket and have made more international centuries than Kohli. AB de Villiers has smashed 45 international centuries while Amla has scored 48 international centuries.

Kohli has made 4209 runs in 53 test matches at an average of 50.10 while in ODIs he has made 7692 runs at an average of 53.41. The Indian captain has also made 1657 runs in T20 format in 45 international T20 matches at staggering average of 57.13 but he is yet to score a century in international T20 format.
