Bashundhara Kings set to rule premier league
Bashundhara Kings, the history making team began their practice for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League from Friday with all their local booters whiles their foreign players joining the camp from January seven or eight.
Bashundhara Kings made their debut in the top tire with winning the runners up trophy of the Federation Cup and the title of the Independence Cup, prior to the battle of upcoming Bangladesh Premier League football.
It was really a colorful sailing for the newcomers Bashundhara Kings when they outshined all the traditional powerhouses at their first appearance.
The exciting start of Bashundhara is also a cautionary signal for the traditional giants, who were always considered as the leading contenders to win the league title. For Bashundhara though it was not at all any surprising to make such a history of playing back to back final at the very first time participation in the top level in accordance with the weight of the team when they fabricated a strong side and also their pre-season preparations.

Bashundhara Kings president Imrul Hassan, when talking to this correspondent, there after their triumph of their maiden trophy winning, said that they liked to start the league with some significant first-team action, thereafter the New Year festivities, might be it would be wake-up call for the rivals.
Imrul Hassan mentioning the team’s results in some matches in the Federation said, “Actually most of the matches we could not field our first choice due to injury and finally card problems. In fact we could really play with full strength one or two matches in the Fed Cup and the Independence Cup.”
“But the league would be fully different ball game and hope we will also appear with more confident with better potency, as it is almost 15 days to go the league will get underway. By this time all the players have already recovered their injury and the team will get ready to play with full force.”
“Even I can ensure you that not only the World Cup player Colindres, Marcos and other foreign booters will also turn out to be more danger for opponents. Football fans will have to enjoy more beautiful game of Banshundhara team and also individual skills from the players.”
Imrul Hassan, specially praised the Brazilian forward Marcos Da Silva, who scored a tremendous goal in the final but disappointed some of his misfires from inside the box, Bashundhara Kings president said, “You will watch some brilliant strike of Marcos, just wait and see.”
