Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan went unsold in the final bid of Indian Premier League (IPL) auction 2022 with base price of two crore rupees.

No franchise of IPL showed interest to buy him on Sunday (February) as well after he went unsold in the first day (Saturday) of the two-day auction held in Bengaluru in India.

However, this was the first time that the 34-year-old Shakib failed to manage a call in the IPL auction since 2011.

Shakib played in nine editions of IPL for two teams from 2011 to 2020. However, he could not participate in the tournament in 2013 and 2020 due to ICC embargo.

In nine IPL editions, Shakib played 71 matches. But he got chance of batting in 52 innings. He secured 793 runs at an average of 19.83. His best innings is 66 runs. He also hit 73 boundaries and 21 over-boundaries. Shakib smashed only two fifties while he hit duck four times.

On the other hand, he secured 63 wickets, costing 7.44 runs per over.

However, Shakib won IPL titles with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and 2014.
