Two Border Security Force personnel were killed and six others injured as terrorists opened fire at an Army convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district today.

 

Two of the injured soldiers are in critical condition.

 

Heavy exchange of fire was reported between the terrorists and security forces in the Bejbehara town near the Jammu-Srinagar state highway, said an eyewitness.

 

After attacking the convoy, the terrorists, believed to be three in number, hijacked a Maruti car and managed to escape. Security forces are combing the area to locate them.

 

The terrorists were reportedly holed up inside a government hospital building.
