About 6000 more Covid-19 deaths reported worldwide

About 5,814 more people died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections worldwide in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 55,53,604.

Besides, some 24,50,469 people tested positive for coronavirus worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 32,67,35,646.

International survey organisation Worldometer came up with the information on Monday (January 17) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
